The Literacy and Educational Support Program is designed to empower individuals and families through learning opportunities, educational guidance, and skill development. Founded in memory of Donald Sterns Jr, the program seeks to promote knowledge, self-sufficiency, confidence, and lifelong learning for people of all ages and backgrounds. 

Through educational workshops, learning activities, and informational sessions, participants are provided opportunities to strengthen academic skills, develop practical life skills, and gain a better understanding of educational resources and opportunities available to them. 

The program aims to reduce barriers to learning, encourage personal growth, and support individuals in achieving their educational and personal goals. 

Program Activities May Include: 

• Reading and Literacy enrichment activities.

• Adult learning and GED preparation support

• Life skills workshops

• Education advocacy and guidance related to IEP and 504 plans.

• Educational resource distribution and community learning opportunities.

• Guest speakers, presentation, and skill-building events.

Any such collaborations will be conducted at fair market value and in compliance with applicable nonprofit regulations to ensure no private benefit.
