The Community Outreach and Annual Care Kit Initiative is an annual holiday and winter outreach program dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship within our community. Founded in memory of Donald Sterns Jr, this initiative is rooted in the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, compassion, and the opportunity to feel valued. 

Through the distribution of care kits and direct community outreach, the program provides essential items while fostering meaningful human connection. The initiative seeks to remind individuals that they are seen, respected, and not forgotten, especially during the holiday and winter seasons when many face increased challenges and isolation.

By extending kindness, encouragement, and practical support, the program promotes hope, strengthens a sense of belonging, and affirms the worth and dignity of every person served. 

Activities May Include: 

• Distribution of annual holiday and winter care kits.

• Outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship.

• Food, hygiene, clothing, and comfort items as available.

• Encouragement, compassionate engagement, and community support.

• Information about local assistance programs when available.
